Today’s nutrition tip
check the ingredients label before you check the numbers! I used to be blinded just by numbers to control my health and weight… but what I didn’t realize was right below those numbers, in small words, are the ingredients.
The ingredients are GOLD
I know it’s so easy to just look at calories or macros and fit them into your plan, but I’m telling you: looking at the ingredients TOO will change your health Beneath the Surface (see what I did there
), and it will open your eyes to what is actually being put into our food and in your body. Something could be low in calories and fit in your macros but could also be full of chemicals that will end up causing things like gut issues, inflammation, bloating, headaches, skin problems, unexplained weight gain, getting sick, etc.
If you wonder why our nation is so sick I can guarantee you this is a huge reason why. Most of these “food like products” were never meant to be on our shelf or in our body. I know I’m passionate but I really think so many people are looking at the wrong things and it makes me sad. Start checking what is being put in your food. I can guarantee you will be blown away.
To make it more simple for you: Eat whole foods FIRST – lean meats, veggies, nuts, seeds, & fruit.
Example – If your buying a product like almond butter and the only ingredients are almonds then your good! But if there are 50 ingredients in there…it’s just not worth it to buy. Think beneath the surface first and your outer surface will show the glowing results ![]()
